PLACES TO VISIT
OLUSEGUN OBANSANJO PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY
(OOPL)
Looking for a place to chill, relax, learn, have a fantastic holiday, honeymoon and weekend getaway, look no further than Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.
It is Located in the main town of Abeokuta, at Presidential Boulevard way, Oke Mosan. i must say the place was well thought out, planned and organised. This place was founded on November 12, 2002, the reason for the establishment of the library is to keep documents, and for people to acknowledge the contributions of the occupier of Nigeria’s most important political offices.
Researchers come from any where in the world to check out history and information about their subject matter . The centre of human security is the brainbox of the library, which looks into security threats in the cultural context of Africa.
The museum comprises of presidential library and museum, zoological gardens, amphitheatre, the Adire and African Fabric Centre, a Spa, restaurants, club, swimming pools, cinema, recreational and sports areas etc.
Another word for the library is beautiful. I have been there a couple of times and it is nothing short of amazing. It is affordable luxury. Incase you cant make it home on time you can catch a movie and spend the night over at the hotel. Need i say more, hook up as quickly as possible.
